SANTA LUZ PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE
TO: RESIDENTS OF SANTA LUZ COMMUNITY – STARTING ON NOVEMBER 19TH AT 10:00 AM
SCHEDULED REPAIRS OF FIRE HYDRANTS WITHIN THE SANTA LUZ COMMUNITY ARE SCHEDULED TO BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 19TH AT 10AM. BOIL WATER NOTICE SIGNS WILL BE POSTED WITHIN THE SANTA LUZ COMMUNITY. WATER WILL BE TURNED OFF FOR AN ESTIMATED 4 – 6 HOURS WHILE FIRE HYDRANTS ARE REPLACED.
THEREFORE, AS A PRECAUTION, WE ADVISE THAT ALL WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH, OR WASHING DISHES BE BOILED. SEE GUIDELINES BELOW
THIS “PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE” WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED AND A BACTERIOLOGICAL SURVEY SHOWS THAT THE WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK.

If your area has been placed under a Boil Water Notice, boil tap water at a rolling boil for one minute, or use bottled water, while the Boil Water Notice remain in effect for:
- Making Ice
- Brushing Teeth
- Washing Dishes
To ensure safe drinking water, Gateway Services District places the affected area under a boil water notice until bacteriological testing shows that the drinking water is safe. These tests usually take 48 to 72 hours after any repairs are completed. WHEN THE BOIL WATER NOTICE IS LIFTED OR REMOVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A NOTICE OF RESCISSION (RESCINDED)
