Summary
There is no increase in water rates for residential customers. The
wastewater/sewer minimum monthly rate for residential customers
will increase by $3.32. The majority of residential customers will
experience either no change or a decrease in the cost of irrigation
based on their average consumption.
Note: Commercial Customers Please contact our office
for changes in base rates and consumption charges.
As a water conservation measure there is a tiered rate for irrigation
usage. The average home owner in Gateway uses well under 25,000
gallons of irrigation water per month and should see no effect
from this tiered system. The intent is not to raise revenue; its
purpose is for water conservation.
The cost of water services provided by Gateway Services CDD remains
among the lowest in the state of Florida. The majority of Gateway
residents pay approximately 50% less than they would if they lived
in another part of Lee County.
